Everybody needs a place where they can leave the pressures of life behind, to unwind, relax and regroup. A place where the soul can breath and regenerate. I am fortunate enough to have a place where I travel a little over an hour and leave any troubles I have in my wake.

I spent a weekend awhile back up at my folks beach house with my Mom and Dad. We had a great time. I went sailing with my Dad for a couple hours, we watched beautiful sunsets every night, we went to the island Oktoberfest and drank big steins of beer. Then in the late evenings we watched movies. I had another great day of playing golf on the private course with my Mom and Dad being sort of a caddy and spectator. My drive that weekend went pretty straight and long.

It's amazing how quiet the nights are. If I keep the window closed there isn't a sound, if I open them, all I hear is the crashing of waves on the shore. There is no other place I sleep so soundly.

I wish I could take you all to this great place called Hat Island. It does me so much mental good, I want to share it with all my friends. I know if I can just talk some of my friends into going they will be hooked and want to go all the time. I want to share this special place. Come, check it out for yourselves. You won't be sorry. Next time I ask, "Do you want to come up to my parents cabin", just say "yes".

If you don't have a place like Hat Island, I hope you all find a place to recharge your batteries. A place where nature touches your soul, where you feel one with the world, and where you can dream about the future.
